McCarthy wants his former Republic of Ireland charge
Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club are interested in Kevin Kilbane.
The Hull City midfielder is well known by current Wolves manager Mick McCarthy, who often selected him whilst in charge of the Republic of Ireland.
Indeed, Kilbane was one of the two players who missed a spot-kick in the shoot-out defeat against Spain in 2002, which saw the Irish crash out the World Cup Finals.
McCarthy clearly doesn’t hold that against the 33-year-old, though, with reports in the Daily Star claiming he wants to take him to Molineux this month.
Kilbane only joined the Tigers from Wigan Athletic in a £200,000 deal twelve months ago, but he has made just seven Premier League outings this season.
