Marlon Harewood has been linked with a return to West Ham United Football Club.

The powerful forward is down the pecking order at Aston Villa, and he has recently completed a loan spell in the Championship with Newcastle United.

The Magpies are keen to resurrect another deal for the 30-year-old, but he could be offered the chance of a surprise return to Upton Park.

The Guardian claim the Hammers, who are in desperate need for reinforcements, could strike a deal for player for as little as £250,000.

Harewood spent four years with the London club from 2003-07 and scored 47 league goals, before he left for Villa in a £4million transfer.
