Maynor Figueroa could yet make a January switch to Sunderland Football Club.

Steve Bruce is a huge fan of the Honduran international fullback, who he introduced to English football when he signed him for Wigan Athletic.

Figueroa remains under contract with the Latics, but Bruce has been heavily linked with offering him the chance of a move to the Stadium of Light in recent months.

Reports suggest the Black Cats boss is lining up an offer of £6million for the 26-year-old which, whilst reluctant, may be enough to persuade the Lancastrians to sell.
