Liverpool shrug off Benayoun interest
08:00 PM 07 January, 2010
Liverpool Football Club have snubbed an offer for Yossi Benayoun.

The 29-year-old midfielder remains one of the most creative players in Rafael Benitez’s squad, and he has made fourteen Premier League appearances this season.

The Daily Mail claim Greek giants Olympiakos have made an offer of £5million for Benayoun, but this has been rejected out of hand by the Reds.

Meanwhile, the same club are set to change their interest to another of Benitez’s players, and they may fancy their chances in taking Spaniard Albert Riera.

The former Espanyol winger has struggled to make an impact in England since his move from Espanyol last summer, and he could be sold to raise funds.
