Newcastle United turn to Potters defender
Newcastle United Football Club are keen to take Leon Cort to St James Park.
Despite having the best defensive record in the Championship, Chris Hughton is keen to add to his rearguard options whilst the transfer window is open.
His first choice was Matthew Kilgallon, but the former Leeds United man will see out his contract at Sheffield United before leaving in the summer.
Hughton will now, according to the Evening Chronicle, turn his attentions to 30-year-old Cort, who has yet to feature in the Premier League for Stoke City this season.
