Adam Matthews admits he would have to consider an offer from Arsenal or Manchester United, should one present itself this month.

The Premier League giants have both been linked with the Cardiff City youngster in recent weeks, and the 17-year-old admits such an opportunity would be welcome.

"It's all very flattering and if an offer ever came about then I'd have to think about it," the defender, capped by Wales at Under-21 level, told the Daily Mirror.

Earlier this month Bluebirds chairman Peter Ridsdale admitted there had been top-flight interest in Matthews, who he still hopes to keep at the club.
