Sunderland Football Club have been linked with Younes Kaboul.

Steve Bruce appears keen to boost his back four this month, having already been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur’s Alan Hutton and Hamburg ace Guy Demel.

Sky Sports now claim the Black Cats manager has taken an interest in Kaboul, formerly a France Under-21 international captain, who has also been linked with Manchester City.

The 24-year-old is currently under contract at Portsmouth, but the financial situation of the Premier League’s bottom club means any bids are likely to be considered.
