Michel is looking forward to testing his quality in the Premier League, as he prepares to join Birmingham City Football Club.

The Blues are on the verge of clinching a £3million deal for the 23-year-old Sporting Gijon midfielder, who can’t wait to get going at St Andrews.

"I am very grateful to Sporting for giving this chance to me. To play in the Premier League is a big move in my sporting career,” said Michel.

"For me the English language is not a problem. I intend to speak it soon to adapt to the Premier League, which is an incredible competition."
