Everton Football Club are in no huge rush to secure Louis Saha to a new contract.

The striker is in the final six months of his deal at Goodison Park, and although there has been reported interest in him from abroad, David Moyes is relaxed over the situation.

“There are things going on at the moment," said the Toffees manager. "The negotiations are ongoing with the chairman and Louis's representatives. It doesn't need to be resolved right now.

“He is under contract until the end of the season. There's no great rush. If he went abroad he can sign a pre-contract but he can't in this country. I don't see it being too big an issue."
