Birmingham City star would welcome Jones arrival
05:21 PM 09 January, 2010
Cameron Jerome would welcome Kenwyne Jones at Birmingham City Football Club.

Although Steve Bruce insists the Trinidad & Tobago international is staying at Sunderland, the Blues have been linked with making an offer of £11million for his signature.

The possible arrival of Jones would increase the competition on the likes of Jerome, but this has been welcomed by the current Blues number ten.

“Would I welcome a signing like Kenwyne Jones? Definitely, I'd welcome that sort of competition," said Jerome. “It would be good to have one or even two strikers in.

"Jones would definitely be a good addition. He has played in the Premier League for a number of years and he's a good old-fashioned centre forward.

"From my personal point of view, I'd love to play off somebody like him. It's crying out for myself to play off a big striker rather than myself being the big striker someone else plays off.”
