Arsenal star would welcome Campbell return
03:24 PM 10 January, 2010
Manuel Almunia would welcome Sol Campbell back into the Arsenal Football Club team.

Former Gunners star Campbell is without a club since leaving Notts County earlier this season, and has since been training with Arsene Wenger’s squad.

It has been suggested that the 35-year-old could be offered a contract at the Emirates Stadium, and this is something which would be welcomed by Almunia.

"For Arsenal, any help from a player like Sol would be very welcome,” he told Sky Sports.

"Having him at Arsenal would mean there are more players fighting for places in the team. Sol is desperate to play football again and doing that for Arsenal would be absolutely fantastic."
