Hahnemann impressed by Wolverhampton Wanderers
06:26 PM 10 January, 2010
Marcus Hahnemann has been impressed with Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club since moving to Molineux during the summer transfer window.

The American goalkeeper started the season as number two behind Wayne Hennessy, but he has started the last seven games for Mick McCarthy’s side.

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Hahnemann has revealed how impressed he has been with the Premier League new-boys, who are a good bet to avoid relegation this term.

"Wolves are a very stable club and that was one of the reasons I came,” he said. "Yes, they are a big club in the Midlands but what I really liked about them is the fact that everything seemed so steady.

"Wolves aren't a club who lose tons of players at the end of the season. And they're always bringing in younger ones. Everything is super-solid at this club.

“It's important for the players to have that certainty that everything is going to be there. If you don't have that, it's just one extra thing for you to worry about. And that does ultimately affect a team."
