Richards impressed with Manchester City coach
07:12 PM 10 January, 2010
Micah Richards has been impressed with the impact Roberto Mancini has had at Manchester City Football Club since becoming head coach last month.

The Italian succeeded Mark Hughes during the festive period, and he has led to the Blues to three successive wins whilst no goals have been conceded.

Richards has been impressed with the way the former Inter Milan coach has reinvigorated the back four at Eastlands, making them much harder to break down.

"A lot of teams have good players but get broken down easily - we were like that," Richards told the News of the World. "The great teams have compact shapes and know what jobs they are doing.

“They have 10 players behind the ball as soon as they lose it. That is what he (Mancini) has brought to the table. It is working. We are working."
