Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club have been linked with an ambitious bid for Jack Collison.

Mick McCarthy reportedly had cash to spend in the January transfer window, as the club offer him the cash to invest in the squad to keep them in the Premier League.

The Mirror claim the Wolves manager has taken an interest in 21-year-old Collison, who is one of the brightest young midfield players in the top-flight.

Wolves know West Ham United are struggling financially, but even so, if would be a huge surprise if Gianfranco Zola agrees to sell his number 31 this month.
