Former Wigan Athletic Football Club striker Amr Zaki is a wanted man.

The Egyptian international showed his class during a loan stay at the DW Stadium last season, although his time in Lancashire turned sour and he returned to Zamalek.

It is perhaps surprising, then, to read his former Latics boss Steve Bruce now wants him at Sunderland, whilst Blackburn Rovers are also keen on the 26-year-old.

And the interest in Zaki doesn’t end there, according to skysports.com, with Tony Pulis looking to bolster his Stoke City frontline by offering the player a move to the Britannia Stadium.

Last season the player scored ten Premier League goals in 29 appearances for Wigan, but his campaign was often interrupted by his international returns.
