Jose Mourinho is hoping to throw a spanner in Manchester United Football Club’s attempts to sign Angel Di Maria, as he considers additions for his Internazionale squad.

Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to take the young Argentine forward to Old Trafford, with reports suggesting he is willing to offer £12million and flop winger Nani.

This would see a return to his homeland for the Portugal international, but reports last month claimed Benfica are not interested in the former Sporting Lisbon man.

To add to United’s woes, the Daily Mail claim Mourinho’s Inter are about to enter the race for Di Maria, and they could offer a straight cash deal for the 21-year-old.
