Stoke City may turn to £5million Carroll
Stoke City Football Club could offer £5million for Andy Carroll.
Twelve months ago the Potters paid around £3million for Sheffield United’s James Beattie, who scored the goals to keep them in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old hasn’t delivered the goods this term, and manager Tony Pulis is determined to land a real quality frontman whilst the window is open.
Ruud van Nistelrooy of Real Madrid, Liverpool’s Ryan Babel and Sunderland ace Kenwyne Jones have been linked, but all must be considered as long-shots.
Pulis may have more chance of persuading Newcastle United to offload Carroll, with reports suggesting they are willing to pay as much as £5million for the 21-year-old.
