Chelsea’s Cole could spark transfer scramble
01:30 PM 13 January, 2010
Joe Cole would spark a stampede if he were to reject a new contract with Chelsea Football Club.

The England international is back in the Blues first team after overcoming an injury, but his deal is set to expire in six months and fresh terms are yet to be agreed.

Whilst The Times claim Carlo Ancelotti’s club are confident of securing the former West Ham United star, nerves are bound to be jangling at Stamford Bridge.

Although Cole insists he wants to stay, should there be any hiccups in his negotiations, he could virtually have the pick of most top sides in Europe for his next move.

In the Premier League alone all the top clubs are ready to pounce should he leave Chelsea, with Arsenal, Liverpool, the Manchester clubs and Tottenham Hotspur watching developments.

Dan BLue4Life I know what you are saying. We had the same with Teirry Henry. It leaves a huge hole that can't be filled. Chelsea has a massive team but there is only 11 places on the team sheet + your subs. All players want to be on the first team sheet.

I would hate to see Joey leave the bridge, he is a class act and would walk in to most the first teams in Europe. I hope and pray JC stays, hes been ispirational in his time at Chels, and the fans love him with all our hearts.
