Sol Campbell impressed for Arsenal Football Club reserves on Tuesday evening.

The 35-year-old former Gunners star looks set to be handed a contract by Arsene Wenger until the end of the season, and he was given a run-out at Upton Park.

Campbell played for the first 45 minutes and helped his side to a clean sheet during this time, and more importantly, he looked sharp, in shape and extremely fit.

There has been no official word on whether he will be signed for a second spell with the Londoners, but on this performance, albeit for the second string and brief, it looks inevitable.

The former England international has been training with Arsenal since his one-game spell with Notts County came to an end, and his hard work looks like paying off.
