Birmingham City Football Club have been linked with Aruna Dindane.

The Ivory Coast international is currently on loan at Portsmouth, but after the skint Premier League side failed to pay an agreed £4million to take him permanently, Lens want him back.

The French club have asked FIFA to cancel his loan deal so they can offload him this winter, and The Sun claim Alex McLeish is considering him for St Andrews.

The Blues boss has £40million to spend in the January market, and the 29-year-old, who has four top-flight goals to his name this season, has emerged as a shock target.

Having previously been linked with Liverpool’s Ryan Babel and Kenwyne Jones of Sunderland, Dindane is unlikely to set pulses racing in the Midlands.
