Talk of Rasmus Elm moving to Blackburn Rovers this month has been described as nonsense.

It has been rumoured that Sam Allardyce is keen on the Sweden international, who is currently plying his trade in Holland for Eredivisie champions AZ Alkmaar.

However, although Elm’s agent admits the 21-year-old is admired at Ewood Park, he has dismissed suggestions a transfer could be on the cards.

"Rasmus is enjoying himself excellently in Alkmaar, this is just a rumour,” Patrick Moerk told Fotbollskanalen.se. "Blackburn have been interested in Rasmus for a while.

“But that they should be ready to table an offer is nonsense. They don't have the money to buy him and as I have said before, he does not want to move."
