Valon Behrami could extend this stay at West Ham United Football Club.

The Swiss international has established himself as a key player for the Hammers since his move from Lazio in 2008, and he has recently been linked with Manchester United.

However, his agent has revealed that the 24-year-old midfielder could be ready to open discussions on a new contract which would extend his deal at Upton Park, which currently runs until 2013.

"Valon is well at West Ham and we are discussing the renewal of his contract," Alessandro Beltrami told Itasport. "He is loved by the fans and he has a good relationship with the manager."

United are in a battle to save their Premier League status this season, and the cynics may expect Behrami to change his stance should they drop into the Championship.
