Martinez shrugs off interest in Rodallega
Roberto Martinez has shrugged off speculation surrounding teh future of Wigan Athletic Football Club striker Hugo Rodallega.
Birmingham City have been heavily linked with the Colombian international, who has been with the Latics since his £4.5million arrival last January.
It has been reported that the Blues are prepared to pay more than twice this for Rodallega’s services, but the speculation is not getting to Martinez.
“I think we want other teams to talk about our players. Not just in the Premiership but other leagues,” the Wigan boss said on skysports.com. "I think it's great for Wigan and our individuals.
"I said at the beginning of the season that we have players in that period of their career who are ready to develop for the next few years and they can play as high as they want.
"Hugo is in that category and is excited to be at Wigan and we're delighted to have him here and to give him the challenge that he needs. We always welcome any sort of admiration in our players.”
