Bolton Wanderers take time on Holden decision
11:05 AM 16 January, 2010
Bolton Wanderers Football Club are considering a swoop for Stuart Holden.

The 24-year-old Aberdeen-born American international is a free agent having left Houston Dynamo, and he has been training with the Reebok Stadium club.

Owen Coyle will now decide whether to offer a permanent contract to midfielder Holden, who had an unsuccessful spell with Sunderland back in 2005.

"Stuart has come in and trained well with us," he said. "It is something we will look at in the next few days. We have a good group of players but we are looking to improve the squad we have.

“That's an ongoing process. He's obviously got talent, good technique and quick feet. We just have to make that judgment about whether he is better than what we have already got.”
