Carlo Ancelotti is eager for Joe Cole to stay at Chelsea Football Club.

The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and is believed to be on teh shopping lists of the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Stamford Bridge coach Ancelotti remains calm about the situation, as he expects Cole, 28-years-old, to remain with the club and sign a new deal.

"They are talking with the club,” said the Italian coach. "It's important he signs. He's an important player - not only this year but in the future as well."
