Manchester United Football Club’s Dimitar Berbatov could be facing a knee operation.

The Bulgarian international lasted 64 minutes of the 3-0 win over Burnley, in which he opened the scoring, before being replaced due to a knee complaint.

"Dimitar was feeling his knee again,” said Sir Alex Ferguson. "He played through it but he could have come off at half-time. We will have to look at it again on Monday and see what the situation is."

Berbatov continues to have his doubters at Old Trafford, but he looked as sharp as anyone in a red shirt as the champions finally edged out the Clarets on Saturday.
