Burnley Football Club are sweating over the fitness of Steven Fletcher.

The striker picked up an ankle injury during the first half of the 3-0 loss at Manchester United, and Brian Laws is hoping it will not prove to be a serious problem.

"We are going to have to have a look at Steven," he told the club's official website. "He is going to go to hospital for an X-ray, for precautionary reasons rather than anything.

"He got a kick on the ankle and we will have to wait and see. I am hoping it is not serious and he doesn't believe it will be, but we have to be cautious."
