Quinn insists Jones will remain at Sunderland
04:30 PM 17 January, 2010
Niall Quinn insists Kenwyne Jones is staying at Sunderland Football Club.

Birmingham City, Liverpool and Stoke City have all been credited with an interest in the Black Cats striker, who has been rated as highly as £40million by Steve Bruce.

Speaking on Sky Sports Goals on Sunday programme, chairman Quinn has revealed that despite the speculation, Jones will be staying at the Stadium of Light.

"Kenwyne Jones knows exactly what I think of him. I love him as a footballer. He's got the complete package,” he said. "If things work out for him in the second half of the season, he's vital to us.

“Behind the scenes agents may be setting up things with football clubs, but it happens today. We don't want to get rid of anybody at the football club."
