Javier Mascherano accepts Liverpool Football Club deserve criticism this season.

The Reds have lost seven times in the Premier League already, and are also out of the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.

Rafael Benitez’s side have suffered a number of injuries, but even so, Mascherano accepts that their performances are bound to be criticised.

“This team is going to keep going forward because of the spirit and history of the club,” he told The People. "It is normal that we are being criticised - we are all to blame for going out of the Champions League and FA Cup."
