Gerrard faces huge Liverpool decision
11:00 AM 18 January, 2010
The Daily Star claim Steven Gerrard could consider leaving Liverpool Football Club at the end of the season, with Real Madrid his preferred destination.

The England international midfielder turns 30-year-old at the end of the current season, which has been a huge disappointment in his ambitions of winning a Premier League title.

Rafael Benitez’s side have lost seven times already this campaign and are well off the pace at the top of the table, some fourteen points behind leaders Chelsea.

Reports in the Daily Star claim Gerrard is considering leaving Anfield during the summer transfer window, with his preferred destination being Spain and the Bernabeu.

However, Jose Mourinho, who almost signed him whilst in charge of Chelsea, would almost certainly be interested in taking him to Inter Milan should the opportunity present itself.

Of course, this is all just speculation at the moment and Gerrard has given no indication he is considering his future, and his love for Liverpool could yet make him a lifer with the Reds.

no matter how good the individual is, he cant save liverpool alone.it all about the whole team.get some player that can play not just STAR sitting on the bench.they all got quality (look at their record), but if they cant play, no matter what the manager do he cant change anything. if LFC got the best mannager also it no use if the club dont wanna spent on player and if you they got money to spent the mannager still have to search a right player that can adopt to LFC enviroment, tactic, attitude and character.LFC

My opinion is to get rid the American owner and Rafa. Sell the club to any Arab rich men and appoint King Kenny to replace Rafa. I'm very sure my beloved Liverpool will rise from the dead!! FROM:Die Hard Fan since 1986.

Phil, I am really suprised when the crowd still singing the Benitez name during the game vs Stoke. Yes we win two major title during his service, but after read the comment from the Kop Legend sometimes we have to accept that fact. We need to change now. To bring the new player during this transfer window on loan is the best solution either sign permanent deal. Maybe we can look the new talent at the World Cup.

Zulaidil. Thats a very pessimistic view. Yes we're out of some competitions. But believe me, the financial situation at the club is nowhere near as bad as the press make out. Glad to see your not afraid to through Mourinho's name in the hat. Although i have a feeling that Bim might well be right.

Liverpool fans : What we are waiting for? yes I'm sure we will losing gerrard, Torres, Masch, Benayoun or maybe Agger during this summer. We are out of the title race (potential out of the top four), FA cup, Carling cup and CL. Is it sack RAFA is the Answer? I dont know this is a correct time to do that. But honestly only the manager with the right character can save us (Hiddink, Rijkaard or Mour)
