Di Maria swaying towards Manchester United
01:30 PM 18 January, 2010
Angel Di Maria is swaying towards a move to Manchester United Football Club, according to reports.

The Argentine playmaker is emerging as one of the most sought after talents in European football, and he is expected to leave Benfica and Portugal at the end of the season.

The Stadium of Light club have slapped a £38million price tag on his head, and the News of the World claim moneybags Manchester City were prepared to meet this staggering price.

However, the 21-year-old is said to have rejected the chance of a move to Eastlands, and would instead prefer to head across the city to Old Trafford and United.

But the Reds would struggle to meet the asking price, and it is claimed an offer of £10million and Portuguese international winger Nani has been rejected.

This may lead to interest in Di Maria from Italy, where both Milan clubs have registered an interest in the past, and may choose to renew this in the summer.
