Manchester United Football Club are set to enter the race for Sergio Canales.

The 18-year-old Racing Santander midfielder is the latest big name to emerge from Spain, and a number the giants of the Premier League are already circling for his signature.

Arsenal, who already have compatriots Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida on board, are interested in the Spaniard, whilst Chelsea have also been monitoring his progress.

It is now being claimed that Sir Alex Ferguson is also keen on Canales, who is out of contract in the summer and now able to negotiate with clubs outside of Spain.

There is a chance, of course, that the youngster will remain closer to home, with Real Madrid reportedly willing to sign him this month for £8million and loan him back to Racing.
