Genoa are considering making a move for Philippe Senderos this winter.

The Swiss international is well down the pecking order at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger, who has just re-signed veteran England star Sol Campbell.

Senderos admits he wants to leave the Emirates Stadium this month to protect his place in the World Cup Finals, and the Gunners are happy to let him go.

The Daily Mail claim Italian side Genoa are keen to take him to Serie A, where they hope he will add more steel to a back four which is the second-leakiest in the division.
