Jason Roberts is being linked with a return to Wigan Athletic Football Club.

The 31-year-old was a popular figure during the two years he spent at what was then known as the JJB Stadium, when he scored 37 goals in 93 appearances.

This led to a £3million move to Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2006, but he has made Sam Allardyce’s starting eleven just nine times in the Premier League this season.

Reports suggest Roberto Martinez is looking to take Roberts back to Wigan this month, and the Spaniard hopes he can land his man for a fee of just £1.5million.
