Zamora lined up for West Ham United return
05:30 PM 21 January, 2010
West Ham United Football Club’s new owners reportedly want Bobby Zamora back at Upton Park.

The 29-year-old striker spent four years with the Hammers from 2004 to 2008, when he scored thirty goals in 130 appearances in the Premier League.

Zamora was sold to Fulham in July 2008 along with John Pantsil for a combined £6.3million, and he is enjoying one of the best seasons in his career this term with six goals to his name.

Reports suggest United’s new owners, David Gold and David Sullivan, would like to take the player back to the East End, but a bid depends on the opinion of manager Gianfranco Zola.

Even if an offer was tabled for Zamora, it is unlikely the Cottagers would be interested in selling, particularly as Roy Hodgson believes his form warrants an England call.
