Steve Bruce insists Sunderland Football Club are not looking to sign Ben Foster.

The Black Cats have been heavily linked with a move for the Manchester United goalkeeper, who has fallen behind Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak at Old Trafford.

Foster is eager for regular first team football to clinch a place in England’s World Cup squad, but Bruce insists he is not looking to take him to the Stadium of Light.

"I like Ben Foster and I think he is a good goalkeeper, but there's no truth in the story that we have or will be making a bid there," he told the Sunderland Echo.
