Stoke City determined to land James
Tony Pulis will do all he can to bring David James to Portsmouth Football Club.
Talks over a loan deal for the Portsmouth goalkeeper initially broke down last week, and a second round of talks failed to see the player swap clubs ahead of this weekend.
Pulis remains determined to add James to his squad before the end of the month, and if he fails to do this, he will turn his attentions to another shot-stopper.
"There's been another hold up. I thought we were close last week and then it got pulled right at the end, and I thought it was close today (Friday), but it hasn't happened yet,” said Pulis.
"We are hoping it will be done. I'll certainly be doing my damnedest to bring in David James, and if I can't then I'll look for another goalkeeper. We need three goalkeepers.”
