Liverpool Football Club’s Damien Plessis is wanted in Italy.

The young Frenchman is highly-rated by Rafael Benitez and the rest of the coaching staff at Anfield, but he is down the pecking order for a first team place.

Plessis, formerly of Lyon, made his debut for the Reds in April 2008, but he has not figured for the first team in the Premier League at all this season.

Skysports.com claim an unnamed Italian side are looking to take the 21-year-old on loan for the rest of the campaign, and this is something which Benitez may welcome.
