Everton Football Club have confirmed the signing of Janko Mucha.

David Moyes has moved to take the Slovakian international on a free transfer when his contract at Legia Warsaw expires in the summer, and he will battle Tim Howard for the number one shirt.

"He had offers from Italy, France and Turkey but has decided not to take the most lucrative one. His priority has been the sporting side of things,” agent Jozef Tokos told SITA.

“Everton is the best one. He is going to compete with Tim Howard for the position of first-choice goalkeeper, but I am convinced he can gain ground there."
