Gary Cahill is a target for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

It is no secret that Harry Redknapp is keen to sign at least one more defender for his White Hart Lane squad, due to the long-running injury problems of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.

According to the Daily Star Sunday, the Spurs manager has set his sights on Bolton Wanderers ace Cahill, who has in the past also been linked with Arsenal.

Since moving to the Reebok Stadium from Aston Villa in January 2008, the 24-year-old has shown promise of being one of the best centre-halves in England.

Owen Coyle will be desperate to keep Cahill, certainly for the rest of the season at least, but he will be bracing himself for sizeable bids at the end of the campaign.
