Bolton Wanderers star would love Eidur return
Gretar Steinsson would love to line-up alongside Eidur Gudjohnsen at Bolton Wanderers.
Former Whites striker Gudjohnsen played at the club from 1998 to 2008, before clinching a move to Chelsea where he won two Premier League titles.
Gudjohnsen is now with Monaco, after a three-year stint at Barcelona, but he has been linked with a return to the Premier League after struggling to settle in France.
Steinsson, who joined Bolton some eight years after his Icelandic compatriot left, would love to welcome his international pal back to the Reebok Stadium.
“Eidur would come back to England, definitely,” he is quoted in the Daily Star Sunday. “So why not Bolton? He lived here and recommended the club to me.”
A more realistic move for Gudjohnsen may be back to the capital with West Ham United, who are said to be interested in taking him on loan for the rest of the season.
