Blues ask Celtic to lower McGeady price
02:30 PM 25 January, 2010
Alex McLeish has asked Celtic Football Club to lower their price for Aiden McGeady.

Birmingham City are keen to take the Republic of Ireland international this month, as they look to continue their fine form on both the Premier League and the FA Cup.

However, the Bhoys are said to want as much as £10million for the winger, and the Scottish Sun claim the Blues have asked them to lower their asking price.

Although McLeish has around £40million to spend this month, he has made it clear he will not pay extortionate fees, and he is said to rate McGeady at around £7million.
