We would not need to sell any of our players in order to get david villa. Its just a case of him deciding where he wants to play next season. Think about it like this, When Reira, Aquilani, gerrard, mascherano, kuyt and Torres are all fit and full of confidence our form will be like that of last season. Now its up up to Rafa and the yanks to add 15- 20 goals a season by spending 35m. In the long run spending big to bring him to Anfield could be recouped back by having the Deadliest attacking force in Europe winning The premiership and Champions league.

Would it not sound prudent that a little reverse psychology is being played here? I mean we are having a terrible season, now for the stories that are doing the rounds would make our season even more in tatters off the pitch as on it!
