Beattie could be West Ham United bound
James Beattie has been linked with a move to West Ham United Football Club.
Gianfranco Zola is hoping to sign at least one striker during the January transfer window, with Blackburn Rovers star Benni McCarthy expecting to be one.
Eidur Gudjohnsen of Monaco has also been linked, but The Sun claim the Hammers are set to try and lure Beattie from Stoke City before Monday’s 5pm deadline.
The 31-year-old was crucial in keeping the Potters up last season, but he had a bust-up with manager Tony Pulis in December, and is said to be a £3million target for Zola.
