Allardyce hopes for Gudjohnsen reunion
Sam Allardyce hopes to lure Eidur Gudjohnsen from Monaco.
The Blackburn Rovers man knows the Icelandic forward as well as anyone, having introduced him to English football during his time in charge of Bolton Wanderers.
Gudjohnsen went on to win two Premier League titles with Chelsea before a move to Barcelona, where he won the UEFA Champions League and a La Liga title.
A move to Monaco took him to France in the summer, but he has failed to settle and has been heavily linked with a return to England this month.
Reports in the Daily Mail claim Allardyce is keen on a reunion with Gudjohnsen, but he may well have to sell before making a move for the 31-year-old.
