Manchester City Football Club are set to renew their interest in Mathieu Flamini.

The Blues were heavily linked with the former Arsenal midfielder last week, when it looked as though they were about to take the AC Milan star on a six-month loan deal.

Roberto Mancini has since played down his chances of signing the France international, but The Guardian claims the City coach is set to make a fresh push for his signature.

The Eastlands club were dumped out of the Carling Cup at the semi-final stage this week, and they now want Flamini for the rest of the season to boost their top-four chances.
