West Ham United Football Club can expect a battle to keep Valon Behrami in the summer.

The Swiss international has been a big hit at Upton Park since his move from Lazio in the summer of 2008, in a deal which cost the Premier League side £5million.

Behrami has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks, and Serie A side Palermo have revealed they want to take him back to Italy in the summer.

If the Hammers keep their Premier League status this season they will feel confident of retaining the services of the 24-year-old, who has stated he is happy in London.
