Pavlyuchenko set for Russian return
Roman Pavlyuchenko could be heading back to his homeland before the 5pm deadline.
The 28-year-old Russian international is now fifth choice striker at Tottenham Hotspur, following Eidur Gudjohnsen’s arrival from Monaco in a loan deal.
Former club Spartak Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg are said to be keen on Pavlyuchenko, and Harry Redknapp admits he is ready to let the player leave.
"If it is the right deal for the club I am happy for him to go," said Redknapp. "He has been wanting to move for a while, but if he was to move I think it would be back to Russia."
