Manchester City Football Club will make a deadline day offer for Fernando Gago.

The mega-rich Blues have made no secret of their admiration for the 23-year-old midfielder, who is struggling to nail down a regular place in the Real Madrid side.

City are now set to make a deadline day offer to lure Gago, who is eager to play in the World Cup Finals with Argentina, to Eastlands.

“Manchester City will present a formal offer on Monday and then the decision is up to Real Madrid and we are waiting for the answer," agent Marcello Lombilla told the Daily Mirror.
