Alan Hutton will see the season out at Sunderland Football Club.

The Scotland international moved to Tottenham Hotspur two years ago, but he has failed to settle in London due to a lack of form and problems with injuries.

With Vedran Corluka firmly established as Harry Redknapp’s right-back, the Spurs manager is willing to let the former Rangers man leave the club on loan.

It has now been confirmed that after a day of talks, Hutton has agreed a six-month stay at the Stadium of Light club, who have recently slipped towards the relegation zone.
